I thought we were going to talk about clothes.  The meeting took place at Status Shop, one of Philly’s best street wear boutiques and I thought Nehemiah Davis was simply a 24 year old aspiring fashion designer from Philly.  Who the hell knew that, not only does he also run a non-profit, but that he also owns three other profitable businesses?  Who knew that his father has been in prison since Nehemiah was 2 years old?  Who knew that Nehemiah didn’t finish college (yet)?

I was going to transcribe our conversation but it would’ve been a structural nightmare given the stops and turns the conversation took. And the conversation was too in depth and too important to edit.  So here is the recording in its entirety.  Nehemiah Davis, aka Neo Daviso is a young man whose achievements and aspirations go way beyond clothing.  The conversation we had reveals the story behind a young man who had to fight through seemingly insurmountable obstacles in order to be where he is and to go where he’s going.

If you don’t have time to listen to it now, you can DOWNLOAD IT HERE.  Please do.

Thank me later.

And scroll down for a few more pics from the NEO DAVISO Fall Line.
