Richelle Zeidler is a unique talent who decided 5 years ago to share her skills with the world through Rik Lei Accessories. Like every entrepreneur, Richelle has been through ups and downs but she continues to improve her craft while growing her business.
The article below is just a snapshot into her world because the entire picture is still being developed. Check it out and make sure you come out to the next Cocktails And Canvases, where Rik Lei will be a featured sponsor.
CC: What makes Rik Lei unique?
RZ: Rik Lei offers Unique one of a kind pieces of jewelry made from hand cut glass, genuine stones and gemstones, metal wood etc. We pride ourselves on Originality to meet everyone’s Fashion Fetish!
CC: Describe the inspiration behind 3 signature pieces.
RZ: One of our signature trends is our hand cut glass jewelry! These are my true favorites. I wanted to find materials that aren’t normally used but are still of high quality. So one day I was researching mosaic and stained glass to see if it could be revamped into accessories. With a lot of trial and error, my dad and I are mastering the fun textures, designs, colors and the overall layout.
And our Cabochon bangles are a fabulous addition to the collection. The brass bangles are set with genuine gemstones and turquoise stones. I’ve always loved a full arm of color so when these settings became available, the first thing I wanted to do was fill them with beautiful colors for a unique and trendy look. These bangles can be custom ordered to include birthstones.
For our Gentleman we offer custom Rosary chains, which have become very popular. Since I’ve always been asked about producing men’s accessories, I thought the custom linked Rosary beads was something to seriously consider. Now they’re one of our hottest selling items.
CC: Why did you start Rik Lei? And when did you know you had something special?
RZ: Since birth, I’ve loved to create and because of that I decided to officially launch in 2010. And I knew the business would continue to grow when I was on the Red Carpet of New York City Couture Fashion week. It was my first professional interview on the red carpet. I was being acknowledged and admired for wearing my very first Hand Cut Glass Necklace. It was very humbling and reassuring that the craft I was blessed with could be as bright as I allow it to be!
