Peace N Philly Extravaganza

As young artists and entrepreneurs, we’ve been taught to have tunnel vision; to only focus our attention on our business and to avoid distractions.  That’s easier said than done when the distractions come as daily gunshots and screams from the families of murder victims.  Fortunately, very few people are ignoring the fact that Philadelphia needs peace now more than ever.  We’ve reached a tipping point.  As a result, Nehemiah Davis, owner of Neo Daviso Clothing and director of The Nehemiah Davis Foundation has started the movement known as Peace N Philly.

The task at hand is daunting to say the least, but when you’re capable of moving the masses to act selflessly for a cause, there’s always hope.  If you get anything from this post besides the video and the pictures below, please let it be the understanding that true power comes from influence; not money.  Thousands of dollars worth of products and services were donated to the Peace N Philly Bookbag Extravaganza on August 19th, in Malcolm X Park.  We don’t have to be rich to start working towards our goals.   We don’t have to be rich before we decide to help our people.  There’s power in purpose and all we need is the ability to lead effectively.

Now that that’s out of the way….enjoy the recap video and the photos from the Peace N Philly Extravaganza.
